OSHA Reporting Deadlines for 2026

To help you stay compliant with OSHA regulations, please review the important deadlines and requirements for workplace injury and illness reporting. These actions are necessary for all covered employers, regardless of whether any incidents occurred in 2025.

Keep reading for essential information on posting and electronic submission deadlines for OSHA Forms 300A, 300, and 301.

Form 300A Workplace Posting: February 1 – April 30

If your business had 11 or more employees at any point in 2025, you're required to display the OSHA Form 300A, Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, from February 1 to April 30, 2026. This includes businesses with no recordable injuries for the year.

What to do:

  • Post the Form 300A in a prominent location where employees typically view notices.

  • The form must be certified by a company executive.

Electronic Submission of Form 300A: Due by March 2

If your establishment had 250 or more employees in 2024 (or 20-249 employees in certain high-risk industries), you're required to submit your Form 300A data electronically via OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application (ITA) by March 2, 2026.

Submission Details:

  • The requirement applies to each physical location (not company-wide employee count).

  • Use the ITA to submit the necessary information.

Exemptions to Submission

Some employers are not required to submit Form 300A to OSHA. Exemptions apply if:

  • Your business is partially exempt from OSHA’s recordkeeping.

  • You had fewer than 20 employees in the previous year, regardless of the industry.

  • You had between 20-249 employees but are not in a high-risk industry.

Form 300 and 301 Submission: Deadline March 2

In addition to Form 300A, employers in high-risk industries with 100 or more employees are required to electronically submit data from Forms 300 (Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses) and 301 (Injury and Illness Incident Report) via OSHA’s ITA.

What’s Required:

  • Submission of both Form 300 and Form 301 data.

  • Compliance deadline: March 2, 2026.

Recordkeeping Requirement

Remember, all records related to workplace injuries and illnesses must be kept at the worksite for at least five years.
